Do you have a theme for 2010?

- view from Croagh Patrick, Co Mayo 01.01.2010
Twenty ten has a fantastic ring to it. It seems more than any other year of late to be filled with such promise and a go get attitude. There seems to be a feeling in the air that each of us is beginning to understand what is truly important and to concentrate less on materialism and showmanship.
On the first day of each new years a few of us go on a big drive. This year Croagh Patrick in the west of Ireland was the choice. After about an hour of climbing I stopped for a good while and looked back at the view and the surrounding area; the word ‘majestic’ came to me. The view was peaceful and beautiful and I decided right then to endeavour to make each day of 2010 feel as majestic as the first one. Not only in the bigger things – like climbing a mountain- but in the smaller everyday activities as well. How will you decide to live each day this year?
Life is wonderful; a miracle. Honour it and above all
enjoy

The picture is beautiful. My theme for 2010 is peacefulness. I had a hectic 2009 and I need to slow down this year

Hi Beverly,
I recently moved to Westport, and everyday when I look at the view of Croagh Patrick, “majestic” is precisely what I think. And it never fails to make my heart sing with joy! What a wonderful way to start the new year, by climbing it (I didn’t!)
My theme for 2010 is Connection

What a beautiful and inspiring photo! Well done on your climb too. What a great idea to do something so amazing to ring in the New Year.
I’ll have to have a good think about what my theme can be for this year. Wonderful idea.

Hello Hilda, connection is a terrific theme to have – with ourselves and others. Have a wonderful and joyful 2010 and thank you for connecting with me!

Thanks for dropping by Andie. I always go on a big nature drive or walk on the first day of the year, it is an uplifting kick off.
It is nice to have a theme for the year, a feeling or vibe that permeates what we do during that year. Not a tangible goal but more an essence of how we want the year to be and what we want our major influence to be when making decisions. Drop back and let me know what your is when you decide

thanks for dropping by Tzongyih. Your 2010 theme ties in with a Sean Lysaght comment I read earlier today saying to stay downwind from from your goals. Don’t get ahead of them but sort of ‘make them happen peacefully’
